We are family

Friday was my Great-uncle's funeral service, and let me tell you...but he must have been one great friend to have that many friends.  I have never seen that many people coming together to celebrate the life of one person.  It was truly amazing and very touching to know the support and love from family and friends.  Family is everything, and I love my family!

After the service we all had lunch in the social hall at the church and that was when we decided that the cousins all needed to get together and hang out.  So that night all the cousins went out to the Spectrum for some bonding time.  That was the most fun I have had in a while.  No one was excluded or felt that they had to act a certain way to feel accepted.  My sister and I are usually the ones who feel out of place because a majority of our cousins are guys, and we don't usually get included into all the "macho" conversations.  But this time the girlfriends were there and everyone just got along.  Everyone was talking to everyone, and I'm not sure if the evening went well because alcohol was involved, but looking back on the night, it was better than I could have wished for.

I am so proud of my cousins for what fine young men they have turned out to be and what they have accomplished so far in life.  So I'm sure a lot of people know the quarter trick.  When you challenge someone by asking them to roll a quarter down their face.  But the trick is you use a pencil and trace around the quarter, leaving the lead residue on the quarter from the tracing.  And that way when they try to roll it down their face, they are left with a line in the middle of their face.  Well I have never seen anyone ever fall for the trick, until now!  This cousin plays football for USC and yet he still managed to fall for the trick.

Fun times!

Hahahahahahaha...

If my blogs are sooooo "disinteresting" then why do you keep reading them and leaving me comments?!  Nothing better to do than read about my "disinteresting" stories!

San Jose...

It's been a while since I last updated.  This past weekend was exactly what I needed.  Time away from everyone, drama, stress, work, the OC, and time to have FUN!  Scott and I went up to San Jose to watch the NCAA West Regional game, which was between the Kansas Jayhawks vs. UCLA Bruins!!  The game was freakin crazy!  You would not believe all the dedicated fans that came to watch.  There were soooo many Kansas fans who would jump out of their seats everytime they scored a basket.  As much as I wanted Kansas to win (because of my bracket), UCLA kicked some assss!!!

So the drive up to San Jose wasn't bad.  Hit some slow traffic here and there but made it in good time.  We had dinner at this Japanese Steak Restaurant.  However the tv was only in the bar area, so we ate appetizers and BEER for dinner!  We had 4 large asahi's, calamari, spicy tuna rolls, and edemame.  I had so much fun watching the game, while eating and drinking...it was so much fun it was as if we were the only one's in the room and didn't have a care in the world.  We were screaming at the tv, laughing, and the waitress cut us off after our 4th beer.  You are probably thinking...cut us off, why???  Well we told her to cut us off after that one...because...we were going to meet up with HIRO, to drink GALLON PITCHERS!!!

After dinner we met up with Hiro and his friends at a chicken wings and beer place.  We ate chicken wings, and had like 2 or 3 gallon pitchers!  So by the end of the night I was pretty messed up, and I have no idea how I drove home.  I woke up twice that night wanting to throw up, but couldn't bring myself together to do so.  I woke up semi-hungover with just a slight headache.  But was looking forward to drinking beer and watching the game!!!

Game day!!!  We got ready, ate some breakfast, and then took a fatty nap!   hahaha!  We were beat from hanging out with Hiro.  So it finally came for us to head to HP Pavillion.  We got on the light rail which takes us to the street that the Pavillion is on, and we get off the light rail and didn't know which way down Santa Clara to go.  We looked and there were banners up about sporting events and parking...so we go towards the signs.  We walk down about a mile and decide to ask City Hall where this Pavillion is.  We find out its in the opposite direction about 2 miles down!!!  Luckily we got there before game time, but it was blazing hot!  Outside the Pavillion was a Stagg Chili truck giving away free chili.  We got our free chili and the lady asked if she could take our picture with the chili looking "fired up" so there's Scott and me flexing and looking like badasses on the side of the street of San Jose!  hahahaha.

The game was freakin crazy.  UCLA had so many shot clock beaters.  Kansas had a few crazy dunks.  The fans were crazy.  AND THERE WAS NO BEER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After the game we walked to get some dinner, then headed back to the hotel.  So we went to the light rail stop that we got off of when going to the game.  However that stop only goes one way, so we didn't know how to get back home!!!   hahaha...so we walked to another station and luckily that one went in the direction we needed to go in.  Bored in the room we decided to drive and look for a bar.  We saw a few bars but parking sucked and the bar looked too small.  So we kept driving...next thing we knew...we were LOST!!!  We ended up driving all around San Jose Airport and back to the hotel.  That took us a good hour and a half.  Then ended up walking around the hotel for a good half an hour.  We were tired after that adventurous evening and went to bed.  hahaha.

The drive home wasn't bad at all.  The weekend was great.  We walked about 6 miles over the weekend.  I had a lot of fun.  Happy birthday, merry christmas, and happy valentine's SCOTT!!!  HAHAHAHA!

Is it cheating?!

So this morning on my way to work I was listening to the radio and they were talking about what is considered cheating on a significant other.  Some of the issues were a cyber realationship...is that cheating?  Is flirting considered cheating?  Friendly texting?  Etc.

41% said that dancing with someone of the opposite sex other than your significant other is considered cheating.

36% said that confiding with someone of the opposite sex other than your significant other is considered cheating as well!!!

What do you think?!?!
